I started this site in 2005 after our son, Wyatt, was born with a cleft palate. Over the years the posts became less about Wyatt's condition and more about every day life. Seven years later, its a place to chronicle my journey as an Army Wife and a working mother of two children struggling to find balance in life.

Ovarian Cysts
I'm down to pumping twice a day. The freedom is awesome! For those of you that don't know, the reason I have to stop pumping is because I have 4 ovarian cysts. Last Sunday one of them burst and landed me in the ER. At any rate, I have to take pain medication and "the pill" - neither of which are o.k. for Wyatt to drink. I have mixed emotions, as I was hoping to pump for a year. I am very pleased I made it to 6 months. I have no other choice at this point. I have been in a lot of pain. To put it bluntly, I am shitted off that I got dealt this card on top of of everything else.
