SHIT!

I just realised that I weigh the same as I did 3 months ago! I was down a few pounds and then gained them back. So I am still 135. I'll admit I haven't been as motivated - just more along the lines of content. I suppose its good to give my body a break.

Obviously, lately I've been motivated again. Its kind of scary - getting this close to my goal. I haven't been this weight since I was in college. I'd really like to get to my highschool weight - which is in my healthy weight range. I realise that getting rid of this last 20lbs is going to be a fight to the death. I suppose the running will be a good start to getting it off.

I have to be honest...I have doubts about weather or not I can keep it off once I get there. I need to work on the doubts - I know I'll never do it if I don't believe in myself.

My First Attempt At 3 Miles

Firstly, I went to the YMCA and they were closed for Memorial Day BUT instead of going home I decided to drive to the downtown YMCA. Then I realised I was driving on empty, so I stopped at the gas station and realised I didn't bring money. So then I went home, got money, put gas in the car and drove downtown! The old me wouldn't have done that - the old me would have turned around and went home once she realised the gym was closed. THEN!!!!!!

I ran 1 mile in 11:50mins. WITHOUT STOPPING! Then I ran 3 mins and walked 3 mins per my training guide. Then I ran the last .75 miles. I did the whole 3 miles in 38.38mins! When I did the first mile I wanted to jump up and throw my arms in the air in victory! I DID IT! I am so proud of myself! I am sooo sore!

Wyatt and His Friends

During a playdate, I heard Sabrina and Gianna coaxing Wyatt. I went upstairs to investigate and this is what I found! Notice how he is trying to copy Gianna! He seems kind of bewildered, but he's trying his best to fit in with their game.

My Birthday

Sandi and I

Chistine and I
My girlfriend's, Sandi and Christine, put together a gorgeous, girly birthday spread for me. Sandi even planned a yummy, gastric bypass friendly dinner. We had: chicken kabobs marinated in greek dressing, a tastey greek salad with feta cheese and corn on the cob. My favorite detail was the ribbons tied around the wine glasses. Sandi had also bought pretty flowers to decorate the patio and themed the whole dinner out in lime and lemon colors - sooo cute! I requested a fruit tart for dessert. I wish I had taken a picture of it because it was beautiful. It was a lovely day and really nice to be pampered. My gifts were mani/pedi supplies and gift certificate, Bath & Body works certificate and some shower gels, bath salts and lotions. How spoiled am I?

Update

I just realised the other day that 8 months have now passed since Eric deployed. That seems so huge to me. We are past the 1/2 way mark. Only 6 weeks or so until Eric come home for r&r. I have a lot of toning up to do before he gets here. My girlfriend's and I have decided to run the Race For The Cure this year. Its 5k and will be taking place in the Garden of The Gods. I am really excited about the challange and it will give me a reason to get to teh gym to train. Its only a 5k but that's a lot more than I've ever wanted to run before! LOL!

I had 6 cake bookings this week end and actually had to turn down some business. I can't belive it! I stopped advertising for a little while to get a break and don 't think I'll have anything for next week end, which will be a nice break. I've posted 4 of the cakes below and am working on the last two right now. Will post those in a few days.

Well best go finish the cake that is due in the morning.

Trip to Boulder, Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park

View of the mountains over Boulder. I loved Boulder. It was gorgeous. The town was so quaint and pretty. We spent the afternoon walking along their riverwalk park.

As you drive into Estes park there is a sign that says "animal crossing on all roads". I thought that was a little strange and then a few minutes later mum and I saw a herd of Elk.

Rocky Mountain National Park is beautiful. Unfortunately, there was still a lot of snow of the trails and so we couldn't go hiking as planned. We did start on one trail, but three feet of snow in the afternoon snow translates into stepping in snow up to your knee. After we'd both fallen down, Mum and I decided to turn around. Wyatt didn't even want to walk because it was so slippery, so I had to trudge back to the car carrying him. Good exersize!

Sail Boat Cookies and Baby Blocks

I charged $60 for this order and it wasn't enough! Icing each individual cake was very time consuming and I was disapointed with the outcome. Luckily, the client was happy with the order. I will never do baby blocks again though.
