Homecoming Parade

The fraternities and sororities decorated floats for Homecoming
and parades behind them with their chants and cheers.
Wyatt loved that they threw candy out onto the road.

K-State Homecoming

Today we made candy apples and caramel apples before going downtown to trick or treat in Aggieville. It was so much fun going to all the different businesses to get candy. A lot of them had dressed up to pass out the candy or decorated their stores. One of the book shops transformed into a haunted house, which was fun. The sororities and fraternities had a contest to see who could paint the storefront windows the best for Homecoming. It was really festive and a lot of fun.

Wyatt's Swim Lessons

Wyatt took a month of swim lessons. He seems to really like them, although he did not learn to swim. :D We will continue them in the spring as its getting cold outside and we are busy during the week. This seems like something that can be enjoyed when we get back from Australia.

Wyatt's 4th Birthday

We had so much fun decorating the garage since it was going to be 45 degress and a chance of snow outside. We had a pinata, played dress your friend as a mummy, using toilet paper and played a freeze/dance song to the monster mash. The kids had a blast. The one thing we will not do again is give 14 kids silly string in a small garage - yeah the fumes were a little too much! LOL But you live and learn right.

The kids certainly enjoyed the dress up party, but I love that most of the adults dressed up as well.

Oztoberfest in Wamego, KS

There's a little town about 30 mins from us that has everything "Wizard Of Oz". All the memorabilia and museums and literally anything to do with The Wizard Of Oz is here. Instead of having an Octoberfest, they have a Oztoberfest. We went to walk around and taste some of their wines. Now the average wine snob might be tempted to turn their noses up at the Kansas wine, BUT we really liked the wine at the Oz Winery. However, Poppyfields should be called Poopyfields - theirs was digusting.

The Oz Winery was so cute. They have great names for their wines like Witch in a Ditch. The owners are a certified pastry chef from Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Institute and a winemaker that graduated from the Culinary Institute of America in Napa. They do a great job!
